At the annual Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) convention, the Hotel Management publication sat down with some of the hospitality industry’s biggest leaders for a chance to discuss some of the biggest issues currently plaguing the hotel space today. Among those accredited leaders was COO of Ellis Hospitality, Jyoti Sarolia.
Upon being asked about the necessity of amenities at limited service hotels, Sarolia explained “convincing hotel owners to invest in the brand they are attached to remains a challenge, but when a franchisee steps up and asks what it will take to be competitive in a market, brands will help them find areas to improve.”
Sarolia went on to give an example of a way that a hotel renovated their breakfast stations (and not necessarily the specific food options), can have massively beneficial effects on guests. As with the other industry leaders of the roundtable, Sarolia appeared highly passionate about the current problems and potential solutions of the hospitality industry.
